Brown Cancels Guyana Gig after Facing Protests

Los Angeles, Nov 23 (IANS): Singer Chris Brown has been forced to cancel his performance in Guyana after women rights group protested against the gig.

The performance was to take place on Boxing Day, Dec 26, but some women right groups opposed the concert as they are said to be still angry with the singer for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Concert promoter Hits & Jams Entertainment said Brown backed out, citing discomfort with the protests, reports thesun.co.uk.

Rihanna ended her relationship with Brown after suffering many injuries, but they are said to be friends again.
