Mumbai: St Peters Association, Barkur Holds Friendly Gathering

Mumbai, Dec 6: “Uniting various families in metropolitan city is assumed to be the toughest task; even then the association has united various families and is a role model to others. The concern showed by the association towards the society is commendable. The contribution of each association member is significant”, said Fr Valerian Mendonca, parish priest of St Peter’s Church, Brakur.

He addressed the gathering during the friendly gathering of St Peters Association (Barkur) held at Hotel Hostin in Marol, Andheri (East) on Monday December 3 night.

Fr Valerian lauded the contribution of the association towards education and society for the past 25 years.

Eric Coelho briefed about the association activities and its contribution to the motherland, while Henry Roach, former president and Ida Roach, working president of silver jubilee committee put forth the future plans.

Siman Peter Furtado, president welcomed the gathering and Antony Dias, treasurer delivered the vote of thanks.

Norbert Menezes, vice president; former presidents – Feliz Barns, Richard Coelho, Henry Roach; Harry Rebello, Precilla Lawrence Quadras, executive committee members Wilfred Almeida, Rolph Monteiro, Bony Sequeira, Norman D’Souza among others were present.
