Mangalore, Dec 13: Beary's Public School and His Grace Montessori School organized their annual day celebrations at Town Hall here on Tuesday December 11.

Syed Mohammed Beary, chairman and managing trustee- Beary’s Academy of learning said, “This is the only opportunity that I get to witness the achievements of children in their curriculum and co-curricular activities. This is the 21 century and in this competitive world, we have a lot of opportunity. On the other end, we are losing our values, morals and ethics.”

“Education is not merely for earning money; but by education we should know what is good and bad, right and wrong. Teaching is like an imposition to students but learning is inspiration.  You should feel God as well as fear him,” he added.

Jayashekar Moses, DDPI of Mangalore said, “This school has done a good job in building the future of students. Earlier, Muslim girls were not allowed to get good education, but the condition has changed now. Provide your children with good education so that they may explore their future horizons.”

Dr Vidya Shetty, director of Pearson Education, Bangalore, in her address, said, “I am totally stunned and have no words to express my joy in seeing the achievements of children in various fields. To build such Montessori schools is a long vision and requires courage. Children today are far more intelliegent than us. They have a variety of choices and such schools will provideall available opportunity to them. Schools should be a resource to the children. Montessori school teachers require good observation, patience and tolerance.”

School principal Shanaz Fathima read the annual report.

Marriamma Nazir, correspondent and Geetha Rego, administrator, were present during the occasion.

Students were rewarded with awards for achieving in different fields.
