Mangalore, Dec 13: M R Vasudeva, retired director of Mangalore International Airport has been appointed the director of Srinivas College.
M R Vasudeva holds a master degree in statistics business management and personnel management.
After serving as the director of Mangalore Airport for more than 10 years, he retired in October this year.
In the year 2000, M R Vasudeva became director of Mangalore Airport and was instrumental in campaigning for direct international flights to Mangalore.
During his tenure as director he had successfully implemented second run-way, taxi-way, security facilities, beautification of Airport premises, housing for airport employees, ISO 9001 certification for Airport, best fire fighter unit award for airport, and others are his noted achievements. Just before his retirement, Mangalore Airport was officially declared an international airport.
