Stewart to Auction Dress for Sandy Victims

Los Angeles, Dec 19 (IANS): Kristen Stewart is putting up a designer dress, the one she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on auction. The proceeds will aid relief efforts for victims of superstorm Sandy.

Stewart had walked the red carpet for the premiere in November in the sheer, lace Zuhair Murad gown, and she is now giving one lucky fan the chance to own it, reports dailystar.co.uk.

Stewart, who also autographed the strapless dress, decided to hand over the garment to charity officials behind the 12-12-12 Auction for Sandy Relief.

The sale follows the actress' appearance at the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief mega gig at New York's Madison Square Garden Dec 12. She called on viewers of the show to keep donating to help those worst hit by the storm, which caused devastation across US' East Coast in October.

All proceeds will benefit the event's charity, The Robin Hood Foundation.
