Mumbai: Bhandary Seva Samithi Celebrates 59th Annual Day

Mumbai, Dec 31: “Those who serve the society are really fortunate because though there are several kinds of social work, the ultimate aim is to serve the society, and serving the society is considered to be a sacred deed. To achieve this, cooperation of community members, patience, harmony, mutual understanding is very important”, said C A Shanker B Shetty, president of Bunts Sangha Mumbai.

He spoke during the 59th annual day celebration of Bhandary Seva Samithi in Radhabai T Bhandary convention hall, Kurla East.

Balakrishna Shetty, president of Mumbai Bhandary Seva Samithi presided over the programme.

Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, president of Bhandary Mahamandala, Girish B Salian, managing director of Salian hotels and restaurants,  justice Sundhar J Bhandary, former president of Bhandary Seva Samithi, Balakrishna P Bhandary, immediate past president were the guests of honour.

On this occasion, Madhava Kuloor immediate past president was felicitated.

Suresh Bhandary opined his views on social work. “Forums and proper leadership is essential to lead the society in right path. The person who leads the institution should be devoted towards his work.  Social service is like ‘bed of thorns’. Those who promptly work for society will gain peace and the society will love them”, he said.

“Service is the essence which gives satisfaction, it cannot be quantified. In the name of service some boaster themselves while fewer never wish for publicity and work sincerely towards the society. Service is a responsibility of each and every individual in the community. It is unfair to say that service is the responsibility of community representatives”, said Balakrishna Shetty in his presidential address.

Girish Salian, Sundhar Bhandary, Balakrishna Bhandary, Madhava Kulooru, Dinesh Kumar opined their views.

Sonika Shridhar Bhanaday entertained gathering with her Bharthnatyam performance. Various other cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.

Committee vice president Padmanabha Bhandary, honorary chief secretary Prabhakar  P Bhandary, honorary treasurer Pandu Bhandary, joint secretary Narayan R Bhandary, Purushotham  Bhandary, joint treasurer Vijaya Bhandary Nallasofara, Lalitha V Bhandary working president of women’s wing, assistant working president Thara R Rao, secretary Vanitha S Bhandary along with other representatives and members were present on this occasion.

Gayathri Bhandary recited hymns of Kachur Nageshwara god. Padmanabha Sasihithlu and Sachin R Bhanadry compered the programme.

Vice president Shekhar Bhandary and advisory committee working president R M Bhandary introduced the guests. 

Shaila Bhandary introduced the awardees. Honorary chief secretary Prabhakar Bhandary welcomed and thanked the gathering.
