Mumbai, Jan 14: The lively and dynamic St Joseph Church celebrated Infant Jesus feast and conducted an Inter-Religious Dialogue session, on Sunday, January 13 at 6.30 pm at St Joseph Church Grounds. Parish priest of Our Lady of Salvation Church, Fr Felix D’souza presided over the solemn festal Eucharistic celebration along with more than 6 priests.
Soon after the mass the inter-religious dialogue session began with a prayer dance by Cosmopolitan School children. Fr Felix D’souza, presided over the event with various speakers from across the religious spectrum. Dignitaries like Bhagavatcharya Rasikabai Vishvanath Rajgur, Hazrat Maulana Musanni Mia, Ravindra Singh J Sone were present for the event. Parish priest Fr Dominic Vas welcomed the dignitaries and felicitated them with a bouquet.
There were splendid dances and skits on the theme "Care for our senior citizens" by Holy Cross School and St Joseph’s High School children. The oath was administered by Johnson Saldhana. The programme was conducted to bring together the members of different religions in order to have communal harmony and to build a peaceful Mira Road.
The programme was organized by the civic cell under the able leadership of Murphy Rebello. Augustine compered the programme while Kevin proposed the vote of thanks to all those who made the programme a great success. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
