When black became beautiful, glamorous

New Delhi, Mar 14 (IANS): Designer Namrata Joshipura's collection at the ongoing edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) had a high glamour quotient, with the colour black dominating.

Sequined dresses and sheer fabrics added to the sensuous look.

The five-day fashion extravaganza started here Wednesday and the designer wrapped up the first day with her collection titled "Wings of Desire".

"The silhouettes are the amalgamation of contemporary and modern outlook with outfits that are inspired by the luxe-street look," said Joshipura.

Some of the outfits that were defined in the collection were sweatshirt paired with skirts, pants embroidered into knit-like patterns, jacket dresses, shorts and symmetrical dresses. Leather was an important element in the collection.

Some of the "modern fabrics" such as neoprene and polytex added sensuality and grabbed the attention of fashionistas in the audience.

"The collection is meant for modern women who are bold enough to experiment with their looks," Joshipura said.
