The 56-year-old agreed to terms with the Rio de Janeiro outfit Friday after the sacking of former coach Gaucho Wednesday, Vasco confirmed on its official website.
Autuori's coaching CV includes two Copa Libertadores triumphs with Cruzeiro and Sao Paulo in addition to the FIFA Club World Cup in 2005, reports Xinhua.
