Mumbai: Gopal Trasi’s first story compilation released

"It is important for a story writer to have strong hold on the language and grammar. The story told by  grandparents has inspired story writers to write," 

"But today’s generation children are inspired by serials, cartoons and hence no young writer takes birth said Renowned story writer Dr Vasaraya Ninjooru.


 
He addressed the gathering during the release of Gopal Trasi’s first story compilation ‘Katheyolagina Baduku’ organized by Mumbai Chukki Sankula along with Karnataka Sangha Mumbai held at Samarasa Bhavan in Matunga (West) on Saturday March 23.
 
Famous critic, analyzer, poet Dr Girija Shastri released the book along with other dignitaries.
 
Karunakr G Puthran, former president of Moghaveera Mahajana Seva Sangha Bagwadi was the guest of honor. Lauding Gopal Trasi, he asked people to encourage talents like these.
 
Writer Gopal Trasi, Savitha Gopal, Dhruv Trasi and Apoorva Trasi shared the dais. Talented dramatist, Dayanand Salian from Chukki Sankula and prominent theatre artist Ahalya Ballal read out the stories.
 
Dr GD Joshi, president of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai welcomed the gathering, GP Kusuma compered while Gopal Trasi delivered the vote of thanks.
 
Nalini Rao, Sumangala Shetty, Prakash Sagar, Susheela Devadiga, Mamatha Bhat among others were present.
