Mumbai: Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty elected chairman of IBCCI

Mumbai, Apr 2: Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty was unanimously elected as new chairman of metro based Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) for two year term, during the annual general body meeting held here on Sunday March 31.
 
Other members: Kutpady Chandra Shetty, chairman, Suresh B Shetty, honorary general secretary, CA| Babu B Shetty honorary treasurer, Durgaprasad Rai, joint secretary, Pandu S Shetty, joint treasurer, CA| Shankar B Shetty, Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, C V Shetty, Ramesh U Shetty and Ratnakar Shetty Morla, advisors.

Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded by veteran V K Shetty in 1990 and was led by veteran entrepreneur B D Shetty (Barkoor Dharmaraj Shetty) who had long range plans for the welfare of community. It has its own office in metro.

 
B D Shetty:

Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the brain child of B D Shetty, an engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), Suratkal, Mangalore.  He was instrumental to stage struggle with Konkan Railways in order get a halt at his home town Barkoor in Udupi district. He is the founder of B D Shetty Institute of Management Studies and Research at Barkoor and Barkoor Dharmaraj Shetty College for mass media located at Bhandary Estate, Kurla (East) here.  He is the recipient of national award of Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP) and Jamnalal Bajaj Uchit Vyavahar Puraskar – 2007.
 

Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty:

Vivek Shetty hails from Nagariguttu lineage family of landlords in Panemangalore of Bantwal town, Dakshina Kannada district. He had done his early schooling in Deepika High School, Bantwal and St Aloysius College, Mangalore. He has done BE in mechanical engineering at KREC. He is the founder of Mulund Bunts that he had founded three years ago.  It is involved in social welfare and philanthropic activities across the metro.

He became successful entrepreneur after establishing Technotherma Furnaces Private Limited that has business interests across the nation and overseas.

The newly-renovated office of Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry located at Oxford Chambers, near L & T, Saki Vihar Road, Powai, here will be inaugurated on Friday April 5.

Shashikiran Shetty, CMD of Allcargo Global Logistics Limited will inaugurate the newly-refurbished office here at 10 am on Friday.
