Udupi, Apr 4: The waste water disposed from a hotel and private hospital in Brahmavar, which accumulates in a residential area, has created several problems for the environment.
There are hundreds of houses behind this private hospital and commercial building. The solid waste from the hospital and waste water is causing a stink in the environment and inviting several diseases.
The health of residents in the area has deteriorated as a result of this foul smell and the mosquitoes. Even the well water has been contaminated due to accumulation of this dirty water.
Locals claim that their pleas in this regard have been in vain. They demand that the gram panchayat, hotel, and hospital should concentrate on this issue and proper measures be taken about solid waste disposal.
