Hall happy with decision to end 'Dexter'

Los Angeles, Apr 20 (IANS): Michael C. Hall, who plays the lead character in TV show "Dexter", of which he is also the executive producer, is happy with channel Showtime's decision to conclude the show after as many as eight seasons.

Showtime has no plans of renewing "Dexter" for another season, reports ew.com.

"I've been an advocate for having a dialogue with the writers and getting a sense of how to best bring this story home - not wrap everything up with a tidy bow, but find some sort of conclusion," said Hall.

"There has to be an end game. Once Deb (character Debra Morgan) found out, it felt like we were moving toward a place where the world as Dexter knew it, would end," he added.

The final season of the show will air June 30.

Though the show is coming to an end, Hall is not in a hurry to sign on another series.

"I don't imagine I'll jump right back into something, but such amazing things are happening on television, to rule it out entirely would be silly. I look forward to finding out what life feels like without 'Dexter'," he said
