Mumbai: Media Sports Academy hosts cricket tourney

Mumbai, Apr 29: The Kannada Working Journalists Association for the third time participated in Media Cup Cricket-2013, organized by the Media Sports Cup Academy, held at the Railway Central Sports Association ground, Parel East on Saturday.

Several teams of media representatives participated in this thrilling tournament. Under the guidance of president Chandrashekar Palthadi and with the initiative of Kalige Dayasagar Chouta, captainship of Secretary JC Poojary, Kannada Working Journalist Association played the tournament with Apla Mahanagar team.

The team consisted of players like Gurudath S Poonja, Ashok R Devadiga, Bharath A Shetty and Santhosh K Devadiga (Karnataka Malla), SA Daya, Ravindra R Shetty, Purandar J Amin (Udayavani), Rathnakar Matti, Gopal Thrasi, Hyari R Sequira, Jaya C Poojary and Jayanth Poojary who performed well in the tournament.

Sports Academy president Jawaharlal Nadar, honorary secretary Kelvin Joshwa Udupi, honorary secretary of Kannada Working Journalist Association Rons Bantwal was present on this occasion. Lokesh Gowda was the commentator, director of Ronida Press Private Ltd Institution, Thara R Bantwal collaborated.
