Mumbai, Apr 29: The Tulu and Kannada book versions of renowned drama writer, director, and artiste Nagaraj Gurupura’s ‘Yaksha Nilaya’ were released at Karnataka Sangha’s Samarasa Bhavan in Matunga West, Mumbai, recently.
Honorary chief secretary of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, prize winning play writer Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu released the Kannda book and Chandrahasa Suvarna released the Tulu version in the presidential presence of folk specialist Shimanthooru Chandrahasa Suvarna.
On this occasion, D K Shetty, president of Povai Kannada Seva Sangha, former president R J Shetty, Rajesh Bhat, administrator, Bhuvaneshwari Seva Committee Port, founder of Gurukula Suleman Kolavooru, social workers Ramanna Poojary, and Petri Vishwanath Shetty were present on this occasion.
Dr Bharath Kumar said, “No one has written so perfectly in any language like Kambara, Girish Karnad, and Lankesh, who created history. First, the work should be read and carefully analyzed. Later, it should be written in an easy communicational way. Hence, there can be creation of good work.”
“Gurupur has the talent of writing and it is really appreciable that he has opened the qualities of Tulunadu in his works. Only humor is not drama,” said Suvarna.
Ashok Pakalla introduced about the work while renowned theatre director Dayananda Salian welcomed and compered.
