Acid attack on father, two daughters in Mumbai


Mumbai, May 2 (IANS): An unidentified man threw acid on a father and his two young daughters at the crowded Bandra station here Thursday morning, railway police said.

The incident took place around 8.15 a.m. shortly after the man in his 50s stepped off the Garib Rath train arriving from New Delhi with his two daughters, a railway police official said.

The victims were taken to the Bhabha Hospital in Bandra.

    This is one of the heinous crime and the guilty shall be punished with life imprisonment. Moreover the properties of the convicts shall be attached to pay compensation to the victims.
