Bangalore: Aadhaar card registration facility in city

Media Release

Bangalore, May 4:
Government of India has been issuing every Indian Citizen a unique identification number. This number, called “Aadhaar” is linked to the citizen’s demographic and biometric information, which number he can use to identify himself anywhere in India and to access a host of benefits and services.

It is going to be a Universal Identity infrastructure and the foundation over which public and private agencies can build services and applications which will benefit residents across India.  Its guarantee of uniqueness and centralized online identity verification would be the basis for building multiple services and applications and facilitating greater connectivity to markets. Aadhaar would also give every resident the ability to access these services and resources, anytime, anywhere in the country.  Aadhaar can provide the identity infrastructure for ensuring financial inclusion across the country – banks can link the unique number to a bank account for every resident and use the online identity authentication to allow residents to access the account from anywhere in the country.

Having regard to India’s population, it is really a herculean task to cover all the citizens.  Verification of the citizen’s details and recording his personal particulars, taking photographs, etc, normally consume nearly 30 minutes for each applicant.  Evidently, each person has to wait in queue for his turn, sometimes for several hours.

In order to help the applicants to get their Aadhaar registration done hassle free, without standing in queue, Clarence Pereira, Director Membership, Kanara Entrepreneurs, Bangalore has got an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre installed in his Deccan Group of Companies premises at Yeshwanthpur in Bangalore and has suggested any person interested to avail this opportunity.

There will be no queue or any payment.  However, it is desirable to fix an appointment before reaching his factory in order to save the applicant’s precious time.  The centre is open on holidays too except on a few occasions.

Those interested are advised to avail this opportunity.  Here is the list of documents required for the enrollment of Aadhaar Card registration:

1 Passport
2 Pan card
3 Ration card
4 Voter id
5 Driving license
6 Government photo id card
7 Photo id card issued by recognized educational institution
8 Freedom fighter photo card
9 Bank statement/passbook
10 Electricity bill (not older than 3 months)
11 Water bill (not older than 3 months))
12 Telephone bill (not older than 3 months)
13 Property tax receipt (not older than 3 months)
14 SSLC marks card/ tc/10th std certificate/school cumulative record
15 Pensioners photo id card
16 ESIC card
17 Gas bill (not older than 3 months)
18 Insurance policy

Applicant has to produce the above documents in originals and  a set of clear xerox copies.  Laminated copies are not acceptable.

If one has a valid passport with his current address then that is enough as it will suffice for all proof.
If the applicant has a gas connection then he can take its details so that those details could be incorporated in the card; so also his bank details like account number and IFCS code with branch.
