Beltangady, May 10: The personnel of the local police station have arrested three persons on the charges of detonating explosives at the source of drinking water system of the town, and causing death of hundreds of fishes.

The drinking water needs of the town are fulfilled by pumping water from Somavathi rivulet. The people saw that hundreds of fishes were floating on the water and lying on the banks of the rivulet on Thursday morning.

Detonation wont cause so much filth in this water.
Actually the fish is not floating on water, fish is resting on the filth!!!!
There was no need for the officials to check if the water was poisioned, it was poisoned so long back by not cleaning the rivulet.
    Apathy of these officials.

This picture is a clear evidence how much care is taken to protect the drinking water resources in our entire nation.

This incident reminds me of a medical professional who boasted before me, that since we cook the food, it is not necessary to clean it thoroughly prior to cooking!!
