Mangaluru, Sep 29: The Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore Province, is preparing for its Ruby Jubilee by organising a series of renewal programmes at eight different centres across the Province.

Renowned Catholic Charismatic preacher Fr Franklin D’Souza is serving as the resource person for these programmes.

The first batch of the Ruby Jubilee Renewal Programme was held on September 28, 2026, at Santa Cruz Convent, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru. A total of 38 Sisters from Santa Cruz Convent, Kulshekar; Bethel Convent, Permannur; and Regina Coeli Convent, Ranipura, participated in the programme.

The programme began with a prayer service, followed by a welcome address by Sr Shalet D’Souza, superior of Santa Cruz Convent, Kulshekar, and Provincial Councillor. She welcomed Fr Franklin D’Souza and the participating Sisters.

Fr Franklin D’Souza conducted the first session at 9:15 am. He spoke on “Crisis in Religious Life and Rediscovering Jesus through Scripture.” His reflection was based on Luke 5:1–11.

During the holy Eucharist at 11 am, he spoke on “Looking at Our Conscience,” drawing inspiration from Mark 6:17–29.

After the lunch break, the session resumed at 2 pm. Fr Franklin spoke on “Forgiveness and the Eucharist,” based on Matthew 18:21–35 and 1 Corinthians 11:23–32.

At 4 pm, he led the Sisters in a healing and anointing adoration. The day’s programme concluded with a prayerful experience of renewal in mind, body, and soul, helping the Sisters to deepen their relationship with Jesus and renew their commitment to their religious vocation.
