Mangalore, Jan 6: In a mysterious episode, a person of the city origin who was working as cashier in a hotel at Dubai has gone missing from January 2, reported Udayavani, a leading Kannada daily from the city on Friday January 6.

According to the details available, Mohammad Faizal (28), a cashier in Hotel on Al Ras Street in Dubai has gone missing from his hotel after the night shift on Monday January 2.  Faizal is the son of one Umarabba, owner of Hotel Airlines at Balmatta here.

It is said that on January 2 he had talked with one of his relatives as well as with one friend after the duty before going to his room.  But on the next morning, when his friend came near his chamber, Mohammad Faizal was not seen in his place.  But his shoes and wristwatch were there in his place.  This gave rise to suspicion to his friend who in turn lodged a complaint with the police.

It is now suspected that he might have been abducted.  The police have already laid their hands on his driving license and passport through which they are trying to investigate the entire case and locate Mohammad Faizal.
