Los Angeles, Jun 13 (IANS): Canadian model Leyla Ghobadi has claimed that rapper Kanye West had a fling with her, even though he's dating socialite Kim Kardashian.

According to Leyla, 24, the rapper made advances towards her last year and even though his relationship with Kim was public, he invited her to his hotel room, reports Star magazine.

After being tagged as hungry for fame, the model wrote a series of tweets justifying her decision to reveal about the fling, specially with Kim expecting her first child with Kanye.

"This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know," Leyla posted on Twitter, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"To show you guys what I'm really like. Not just doing this for the fame. Maybe I went about this the wrong way but how else am I meant to get through to her? I am not the bad guy in this situation. Nothing more to say," she said.

She thanked people who supported her.

"The woman will always get the blame for everything. Okay I'm out. Said what I had to say. To the haters - you don't know s*** about the situation. Everyone else who's being supportive; thank you," she added.

Kanye's representatives have denied the claims saying: "This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit.

"It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."

Kim is due for delivery in July.
