Mangalore, Jun 24: In commemoration of the golden inter parish Konkani singing competition of Konkani Natak Sabha, Kinnigoli Varado inter parish singing competition was held on Sunday June 23 at Kinnigoli Parish Hall here.
The Singing Competition was inaugurated by Vicar Var of Kinnigoli Varado Fr Alfred J Pinto by lighting the lamp along with assistant parish priest Fr Vinod Lobo, assistant parish priest of Pakshikere parish Fr Jesudas D’Costa, secretary of Kinnigoli Parish pastoral council Valerian Sequeira, president of Konkani Natak Sabha Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza (capuchin), vice president Dolphy Saldanha, general secretary Sunil Menezes and treasurer Prem Lobo.
Speaking on the occasion Fr Alfred J Pinto wished all the participants every success.
In both the categories 92 Competitors from Kinnigoli, Kirem, Pakshikere and Niddodi parishes of the Kinnigoli Varado participated in the competition.

Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Prem Lobo introduced the judges, Dolphy Saldanha compeered the programme and Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
Audience enjoyed the jokes enacted by Comedy King Adolpus Cutinha (Dolla,Manglur) on the occasion.
Prize distribution ceremony for the qualifier of semifinal was held after the competition. The prizes were distributed by assistant parish priest of Kinnigoli parish Fr Vinod Lobo, assistant parish priest of Pakshikere parish Fr Jesudas D’Costa, along with president of Konkani Natak Sabha Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza. Felix Sequeira announced the results.
