Mumbai, Jan 21: A 65-year-old fashion photographer was arrested on Friday evening on charges of raping a 20-year-old model working with him, the police said.

Ramkumar Bhatnagar, who runs a photo studio in Juhu, was arrested following a complaint by the model this morning that Bhatnagar maintained sexual relations with her for the past few months against her will, the police added.

Additional Police Commissioner Bipin Bihari told PTI that Bhatnagar will be produced before a court tomorrow.

According to police sources, Bhatnagar, who met the model through an acquaintance eight months ago, had offered her a job at his studio. The two developed an intimate relationship, but the model left the job a month ago without giving any reason, they added.

Later, Bhatnagar allegedly asked the model to return and threatened to expose her if she refused to obey, the police said, adding that fed up of the pressure, the model lodged the complaint at the Juhu police station on Friday.
