Mumbai: Co-operation is must for community development-Narayan R Gowda

Mumbai, Jul 17: The 13 annual general body meeting of metro-based Jaylaxmi Co-operative Credit Society, promoted by Okkaliga Sangh–Maharashtra, was held at the Gala auditorium, Vakola, Santacruz (East), on Sunday July 29.

Society president Narayan R Gowda presided over the meeting. Kanjurmarg Mallikarjunaswamy Swami performed the religious rites on the occasion.

Society administrator Parashuram Kisan Dhoond, Ganesh C Gowda, Latha R Gowda presented the annual report to the public.
"There are 3,439 shareholders in the society consisting of Rs 2.5 cr of shares in the present year. It has achieved a turn over of Rs 2.64 crore and distributed a dividend of 9 percent.  It has a share capital of Rs 74.67 lac, fixed deposit exceeds Rs 9.93 crore, and loans and advances of Rs 9.28 crore,” he said.

Okkaliga Sangh, Maharashtra president and the society’s secretary Narayan R Gowda said that the board of directors seeks the support of shareholders and customers in order to lead the society to achieve further progress.
 
In his presidential address Narayan R Gowda said "the society works under the parameters laid by the board of directors and registrar. Although, this is a small society, we will try to live up to the standards of the society at large."

He also asked to support all their endeavors. Besides, he also felicitated students as part of the annual prathibha puraskar programme.

Secretary Rangappa C Gowda presented a bird’s eye view on the history of based Jaylaxmi Co-operative Credit Society and informed about the forthcoming programmes. He also felicitated the newly elected KR Pete MLA Narayan R Gowda and his wife Devaki N Gowda.

Guest of honor Sadanand Gaikwad, Chikki Gowda, Mohan Kumar Gowda, Puttaswami Gowda Santacruz, society board of directors Chandan C Chary, Mutte S Gowda, A Kempe Gowda, RU Lagade, Anusuya R Gowda, Devaki N Gowda and Sunanda R Gowda were present on the dais.
 
Gangadar Gowda Shashi Kumar Gowda, Laxmikant Gowda, Shyam Lingayya, H G Surve, and P A Hawaldar were also present. Society manager Parasuram Kissan Dhond compered the gathering. A Bharatanatyam show of Lata Sanjay Poojary was staged to conclude the programme.

Earlier, a condolence prayer was held to all those who dies in the recent Uttarakhand flood. Latha Sanjay Poojary presented bharathanatya dance.
