New Delhi, Jul 19: Top class Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who is away from national duty and trying his best to return to the team, has utilised his break to pursue his love for music. After delivering the hit song 'Ek Suneha' which saw over a million hits on YouTube earlier this year, he is now back with a new song, which has become an instant hit in YouTube and social networking sites.

Bhajji's latest Punjabi song “Meri Maa” shows not only Bhajji's potential in the field of music but also gives a glimpse of his deep love for his mother.

Speaking to daijiworld, Bhajji says, "Music is my second love after cricket, which I want to develop step by step."

Inspired by the response he received for his last song, he agreed to do the new one, which he says is dedicated to his mother.

Experts in the music industry say, the dedication he has shown in this song proves the talent of this young cricketer who was part of India's World Cup winning team in 2011. Though he still has a few more years in cricket, he could utilise his talent in music industry too at the same time.

Launching his solo 'Meri Maa' at Chandigarh, Bhajji says, “These beautiful lyrics had to be sung by Gurdas Maanji originally, but he could not make time due to his mother’s health. So, lyricist Sanjay Glory gave me a chance. This song is a gift to my mother, Avtar Kaur. The elder lady in the video is my mom.”

The single-song album, 'Meri Maa', was released by Sufi star Satinder Sartaaj. In Bhajji’s honour, Sartaaj shares, “After listening to the song, I don’t believe Bhajji when he says ‘I’m not a singer’. To make a beautiful song, you need beautiful poetry, and Bhajji has taken that initiative.”

Champak Jain, director of Venus Group says, “The world loves Bhajji and we love him too. He has recorded this solo with utmost dedication and it has turned out really well. The video directors are Ajay and Lovel Collosus. Bhajji has dedicated the song sung by him to his mother, which in itself is a very special thing.”
