Moodbidri, Jan 23: Five farmers hailing from Niddodi, Beluvai, Iruvail, Ikala and Mulky, were granted agricultural subsidy of Rs 49,500 each, on the purchase of power tillers costing Rs 1.7 lac each. The tillers were given by K Abhayachandra Jain, chief whip of state government.
Speaking on the occasion, Jain said that the benefit must be extended to many other farmers who are in need of power tillers.
Also present on the occasion were A Padmayya Naik, director, departmetn of agriculture, G T Putra, assistant director, Narayana Shetty and Divakar Shetty, department of agriculure officials from Moodbidri.
