Mumbai, Jul 24: The annual general body meeting of St Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association, Mira Road (R) was held at Mira Road parish hall, in the presence of parish priest and spiritual director Fr Dominic Vas here recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Dominic urged the gathering to converse in Konkani at home that would encourage the new generation to sustain mother tongue Konkani, urged Fr Dominic.

The honorary secretary Sofia D’Sa presented the annual report and was approved by the members.

John Crasta, was reelected as president for second term of St Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association, Mira Road ® during the elections held on the occasion.  Celine Mendonca (Vice President), Arun Noronha (Honorary Secretary), Lawrence Mathias (Treasurer), Diego Rodrigues (Deputy Secretary), Richard Mathias (Assistant Secretary), John correa (joint Treasurer), Hilary D’Silva (Cultural Secretary), Sofia D’Sa, Steven Martis, Maria Goretti, Lydia D’Souza and Francis Mathias (Executive Committee Members).
