Media Release

Mumbai, Jul 25: Ryan International Group of institutions in association with the Thames Valley Summer School (TVSS), United Kingdom created a platform for the students to attend the prestigious TVSS English Summer School at Oundle and Sevenoaks.

As a part of the program they stayed at some of the most prestigious English boarding schools with students from more than 30 nationalities. For the past 39 years, TVSS courses have been among the most consistent popular programs in UK and here was a life time opportunity for Ryanites to make the most of it.

With the able direction of Dr A F Pinto, chairman and Grace Pinto, MD, Ryan Group, Ryan has always created opportunities for Ryanites at global forums. This was truly an international and eclectic experience for all the students to live in UK for 2 weeks with students from across the world.

Ryanites attended English classes and participated in various excursion programs along with students from across the Globe. “Students from Russia, Spain, China and Italy were also a part of this study. The integral theme was to break international boundaries, integrate cultures and become proficient in the Universal language, English. This was one of the many initiatives we undertake to make each Ryanite a Global citizen,” said Alice Vaz, who accompanied the students along with Katherine James.

Students prepared for the most prestigious Trinity College English speaking examination along with the other students.  It was a proud moment for all when the results were declared as all the students passed out with flying colors.

While sharing about this international experience, Ayush said, “I have never had so many good friends from so many different countries at the same time. I learnt so much from them about their culture, food and traditions. I am proud of my school for this excellent opportunity.”

As part of the program the students also visited numerous historical destinations in London, Oxford, Canterbury, Brighton and Cambridge. Special guided tours were organised to the National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery, British Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, Oxford College, National Maritime Museum and Sea Life Centre. Various academic forums and discussions were held with the students about English art, history, poets, authors and cinema.

Nihal Nair said “This was the most amazing learning experience I have ever had and I am grateful to my School, Ryan International for such a wonderful exposure to internationalism in school life.”
