Karnataka ministers and MLAs honored at Billawara Bhavan

Mumbai, Aug 1: Billawa association, Mumbai on Sunday July 28 honored elected MLA’s and ministers from Karnataka at a programme held at Sri Narayanaguru auditorium in Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (east).

The programme was presided by association president L V Amin. The felicitation was done for urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, forest and district in-charge minister B Ramanth Rai, health minister U T Khadar, youth and fisheries minister K Abhayachandra Jain, Belthangady MLA K Vasanth Bangera, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar and MLA of K R Pete. They were felicitated by association honorary president Jaya C Suvarna.





Acknowledging the honor, Vinay Kumar Sorake said ‘It is mainly because of people living in Mumbai, the tradition of Tullunadu is promoted’. People here follow guidance given by Narayan Guru and thus are self-minded. The teachings of Narayana Guru has been an inspiration to the whole of mankind irrespective of generation. Likewise, the people here are the once, who have even followed the footsteps of Koti Chennayya.

Politically, former union minister Janardhan Poojary is a great source of power to Billawas and his sincerity is a role model to us.

Dakshina Kannada is known for unity and peace. People over here are highly educated and they have achieved success in the society. Brahmashree Narayana Guru is not only the leader of one religion, but he is a role model to all, said minister Ramanath Rai.

I think that the honor given to me was for my sincere service. Being loyal to the party and my personal life, I think congress as my religion. Billawa association being a strongest association is striving hard to develop the society by giving importance to education. People lack faith in themselves and it common that people blame each other. In this case, we should not listen to them and Billawa association should work towards development, he advised.

Health minister U T Khadar and fisheries minister Abhayachandra Jain also spoke on the occasion.

Association former president Y Nagesh, treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, vice president C T Salian, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Bhaskar M Salian, M B Kukkyan, Shakuntala K Kotian of womens wing, Rohini Salian, Ganesh K Poojary, Suresh S Poojary, Sooru C Karkera, N T Poojary, Surendra A poojary, Harish G Poojary, Santhosh D Shetty, Harish K Hejamadi, Nithyananda D Kotian among others were present.

Honorary president Jaya C Suvarna welcomed the gathering while chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna delivered the vote of thanks.
