Mumbai, Aug 6 (IANS): Rupali Guha, daughter of veteran filmmaker Basu Chatterjee, has recently directed her first Bengali film "Porichoy", about a father-daughter relationship.
"I recently directed a Bengali film with Prasenjit Chatterjee as well as Mishti, who will also be seen in Subhash Ghai's 'Kaanchi'. This is my first Bengali film and I am excited about it. The story is about a father and daughter relationship and I am really looking forward to it," Rupali told IANS.
The film is slated for Aug end release.
The fact that ther Bengali film industry is prospering, makes Rupali happy.
"I am happy that the Bengali film industry is rocking these days. There are some interesting stories and filmmakers coming up," said the producer of TV show "Uttaran".
Rupali had earlier directed Hindi film "Aamras" in 2009.
