Four held for gang-raping pregnant housewife

Gondia (Maha), Aug 7 (PTI): A 20-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly gang-raped by four persons in front of her husband in Chotta Gondia locality here, police said Tuesday.

The victim and her husband was on their way back home from one of their relatives house last night when they were stopped by four youths near the Dr Ambedkar Library in the locality.

They beat up the woman's husband and gang-raped her on the library premises, they said.

The youths had also looted their belongings after the incident.

Later, around 3 am at night, the couple somehow managed to reach Gondia City police station and lodged a complaint.

Taking swift action, the police arrested Vicky Radhelal Suryawanshi (21), Sonu alias Rishi Gulab Chandrikapure (25), Avinash Ravi Funde (23) and Nitin Ramesh Khadse (23).
During interrogation, all of them have confessed to their crimes.

An offence under Sections 376 (2)(G)(D), 341, 346, 394 and 34 has been registered against the youths, who were later produced in court, from where they were sent to police custody till August 14.

Further probes are on, police added.

When they have confessed to their crime and is recorded in front of proper authority, The case should be closed without delay, by giving them punishment for that crime as per law.
If they are given time, there are 100s of crooked lawyers who can twist the case and even prove they were not born at that time!!!!.
We read about Nirbhaya case, after such a long time, one produces his mobile recording, showing he was somewhere else when the rape took place..!!!
Anything can happen if case is extended unnecessarily.
I think very few are convicted in rape cases as most of them have good influence at higher level in the Police force as well as in the Government.
    Our law is so weak...

I am scared where are we heading to ? No humanity at all. And the governance still looks unaware of the whole situation. As most of them recommended, please handover them to public. Or encounter them. We need not explain how to ute such moves to you. Let's start at some point and clean up the society. No way they can justify the crime they have committed. Also just imagine the disturbance the couple is passing though. No. No second thoughts on this. Just make them stand in line at Public and sheet them. Please... you can be the initiators for brighter future and clean society. Please, I beg you... do it and back. You will be blessed and considered as heros.
