Christopher McQuarrie to direct 'Mission Impossible 5'

Los Angeles, Aug 7 (IANS): Director Christopher McQuarrie will helm the fifth instalment of spy thriller "Mission Impossible".

The movie stars actor Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt and he has been part of the franchise since 1996, when the first movie came out.

McQuarrie hinted the fans about it on Twitter when he posted: "Mission: Accepted".

Contactmusic.com reports that Cruise later re-tweeted the director's post and disclosed the news by tweeting: "It's official! Chris Mcquarrie is the director of 'Mission Impossible 5'."

"Mission Impossible 5" is expected to release 2015.

This is not for the first time the Cruise and McQuarrie are working together. Earlier, they had teamed up for "Jack Reacher" and "Valkyrie".
