Udupi, Aug 10:  Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, Udupi, organized a protest against the killing of Indian military men by the Pakistani army at  Santhekatte Junction on Friday August 9.

They also blocked the National Highway for a few minutes during the protest.

During the protest, VHP Udupi unit leader Baikady Suprasad Shetty briefed about "how the Pakistani army has killed our soldiers and the apathy of the central government towards the incident. If we sit quiet like this, tomorrow or the day after, Pakistan will enter our nation without any qualms. We must be careful because we share a border with that nation. Apart from this, internal communalism has also increased in our nation."

Local VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders Vinod Santhekatte, Umesh Shetty, president, Tourist Tempo Union, Ratnakar, Auto Rickshaw Union, Chinmayi, and Udaya Kumar were present.
