SRK congratulates Sindhu

New Delhi, Aug 10 (IANS): Actor Shah Rukh Khan Saturday congratulated P.V. Sindhu for claiming the women's singles bronze medal at the World Badminton Championships in Guangzhou, China.

"...and congratulations Sindhu. You make us proud. Mr. Padukone had done it & now u. Way to go...keep shuttling," Shah Rukh tweeted.

The 18-year-old Sindhu lost to World No.3 Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand Saturday.

This is only the third instance, and first in women's singles, that an Indian will bring home a medal from the Worlds. Prakash Padukone won the men's singles bronze in 1983 at Copenhagen while Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa won another bronze in women's doubles in the 2011 edition.
