'Biriyani' team to meet CB-CID over songs leak


Chennai, Aug 19 (IANS): Following the illegal release of songs from upcoming Tamil black-comedy thriller "Biriyani", members from the film's unit are set to meet Crime Branch - Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) officials Monday to press for immediate action against those responsible for the leak.

The audio was leaked online Aug 16, two weeks ahead of its official launch slated for Aug 31. "Biriyani" marks the 100th album of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, and he is extremely upset over the leak of the songs online.

"On Monday, Karthi Sivakumar (actor), Yuvan Shankar Raja (composer), Venkat Prabhu (director) and Gnanavel Raja (producer) will meet the officers at CB-CID office regarding "Biriyani" songs leak," said a statement.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "Biriyani" also features Hansika Motwani, Ramki, Premgi Amaren, Nassar and Jayaprakash in important roles.

Produced by Studio Green, it is slated to release Sep 6 worldwide.
