Bomb found in Bengal

Kolkata, Aug 29 (IANS): An explosive device along with timers was Thursday recovered from West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, just days after seven people were injured in a blast, police said.

The explosive device kept on a cycle was recovered by police from Chowpothi in Alipurduar sub-division early Thursday.

"We suspect the involvement of KLO (Kamtapur Liberation Organisation)," said Alipurduar sub-divisional police officer Biswachand Thakur.

A bomb disposal squad has been called to defuse the explosive.

On Aug 18, seven people were injured when a bomb exploded inside a Bhutan-bound bus in nearby Barobhisa area in the same district.

No arrest has been made yet.
