New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS): The Supreme Court Thursday gave the central government two weeks' time to make available all files, documents and information sought by the CBI which is investigating allegations of irregularities in the allocation of coal-blocks from 1993 to 2009.
The apex court bench headed by Justice R.M. Lodha said the two-week period will commence from the date it receives a comprehensive and consolidated list of the files, documents and information that are sought by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), besides what it already has.
The court gave CBI five days' time to make available the list to the government.
The court said that a week hereafter the government will inform the CBI about the files, documents and the information that is not available or has gone missing and the probe agency will investigate the matter.
