Four women rescued from Delhi's red light area

New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS): Four women were rescued from Delhi's red light area, police said Friday.

The women, aged between 26 to 30, were brought to Delhi on pretext of providing them jobs but sold at brothel number 41 in central Delhi's G.B. Road area.

"On a tip off, the place was raided Thursday night and the victims rescued. Their family members have been informed and they will be sent back to their respective homes soon," said a police officer.

One of the women was brought from Solapur in Maharashtra a week ago, two were brought from Andhra Pradesh around one-and-half years ago and one was brought from West Bengal around one year ago.

A hunt is on for those who brought them here and sold them to the brothel.
