Delhi sees sunny Monday, no rain Tuesday too


New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS): It was a sunny Monday in the capital as the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. No rain has been forecast for Tuesday by the met office.

"The skies will remain partly cloudy with no forecast of rain for the next 24 hours," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Monday's minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 27 degrees Celsius. Humidity wavered between a high and low of 79 and 50 percent respectively.

Tuesday's maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius.

Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 781.4 mm of rainfall.

Sunday's minimum temperature was 26.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the year. The maximum temperature Sunday settled two notches above average, at 35.6 degrees Celsius.
