Panaji, Feb 15: Another of the family members from the Kerala who attempted to commit mass suicide succumbed to death in Goa medical college on Wednesday, police said.
According to superintendent of police (North) D K Sawant, 19-year-old-Akash is the third person of the five member family to die in the mass suicide attempt.
The Ernakulam-based family had tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at Miramar beach in Goa, While the mother and the elder son had died on Tuesday soon after they were admitted to Goa medical college.
Two more teenage daughters of the same family are said to be stable and are still in the local hospitals, police said.
SP Sawant said that they are in touch with their counterparts in Kerala to get their family members down in Goa.
