Bangalore: Focolare Movement hosts annual Mariapolis event

Bangalore, Sep 11: Mariapolis is an annual event organized by the Focolare Movement which helps bring together people of all walks of life, spending a few days together putting into practice the universal values of the Gospel.

It primarily focuses on the ‘Golden Rule’ and it is an opportunity to experience what happens in day-to-day life when we have the gift of self and sharing as the basis for relationships.

Mariapolis 2013 was organized from September 6 to September 9 at Claret Nivas Centre, Carmelaram, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore, the theme being ‘The other, another me’.

People from all over India participated in this event from age groups 3 years to 75 years, the highest participants being the youth who were with full enthusiasm and vigor, involving themselves in each and every program.

All the participants left the venue with wonderful experience and sweet memories ever to be cherished filled with peace and unity.

On the concluding day, all expressed their ambition to attend the next Mariapolis.

The program also included work shops like- music, singing, dance  and photo journalism.
