Three soldiers killed in Sinai car bombing

Cairo, Sep 11 (IANS): Three soldiers were killed and at least 15 other people, including four civilians, were injured in a car bomb attack in Rafah city of North Sinai governorate in Egypt, Xinhua reported citing state TV Wednesday.

The attack was carried out on an intelligence facility which led to collapse of two buildings in the complex in Rafah bordering the Gaza Strip.

The security situation in Sinai has deteriorated since the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi in early July this year.

Militants have been attacking the security forces consistently in recent weeks.

The army has intensified operations to uproot terrorists and hardline Jihadist movements in the peninsula.
