Kuwait, Feb 23: BELWAK (Belman Welfare Asssociation , Kuwait) met to elect a new president on Feb 17, 2006 at the residence of main founder member, Tony D’Cruz.

It was momentous for two reasons - AGM (annual general body meeting) of BELWAK and the election of President, Clifford D’Souza and Vice President, Jerome D’Souza

The newly elected President, energetic and agile, Clifford D’Souza, who had an impressive stint as Accountant in the outgoing committee was jubilant. He echoed confidence in leading the association to meet the set objectives and goals of the association.

Vice President, Jerome D’Souza and Secretary, Henry D’Mello thanked the members for electing them and pledged to continue the good work of the past committee.

Secretary   - Henry  D’Mello

Cultural Secretary  - Prescilla Mendonca
Auditor   - James D’Sa
Accountant   - Anil Nazareth
Public Relation Officer - John Mendonca
Advisor   - Stanislaus Martis

On behalf of the dissolved committee, the affable outgoing President, Tony D’Cruz and Vice President, Vincent Andrade thanked the members for the support extended to them during the past one year.  Outgoing Secretary Rita Rodrigues summarized the eventful year Belwak had traversed.

Earlier, much discussion was held during the AGM to organize the parish feast celebration on May 5, 2006. Founder member, Jessie D’Cruz led the discussion and drew up the events for the celebration.
