Special song for Indian cinema's centenary fete


Chennai, Sep 17 (IANS): A special song titled "Noorandu kanuvugal" - 100th year dream - has been dedicated to the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema by the Tamil industry.

The song is from upcoming Tamil romantic-drama "Kannuvukkotagai".

The centenary celebrations are set to take place here Sep 21-24.

"Noorandu kanuvugal" has been penned by lyricist Madhan Karky, who has honoured the legends of Tamil cinema through the song.

"This is our way of showing gratitude to our Indian cinema. Since we represent the Tamil industry, we wanted to honour some of our own legends through this song. We have paid a tribute to all the great personalities of this industry," the film's director Arzil Moorthy, told IANS.

Singer-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar has crooned the song, which will be released for the public soon.
