Mumbai, Sep 19: Konkani Seva Mandal, Goregaon, recently celebrated its seventh Monti Fest at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Goregaon West, here.
Monti Fest Konkani mass was celebrated by Fr Richard Crasto at 7 am. The cultural programme started at 11.30 am with a Novena, showering of flowers followed by the procession singing the traditional Konkani hymns.
Fr Richard Crasto was the chief guest of the programme. Genevieve Correa gave a welcome address.
Novem with milk was distributed.
Several beautiful dances were presented by children. Sannora Correa and Inacio presented Konkani songs. A comedy skit was presented by the members. The cultural programme was concluded with the prayer by Benedicta Saldanha. The programme ended with the Novem Jevon.
