Jenjum Gadi launches first store

New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS): Jenjum Gadi, capital-based designer from Arunachal Pradesh, Thursday launched his first flagship store here. He says the motto is to promote designs and motifs of his ancestral tribe.

The former student of Wigan and Leigh College who entered the fashion industry five years back, went on to create a label titled Koga with batchmate Jasleen Kochhar and they worked together for three years.

But Gadi went his own way in 2012.

After retailing in multi-label stores across the country and Middle East, Gadi launched his flagship store with business partner Julie Deb and they will offer all the exclusive items.

"I am extremely thrilled to have launched my store in the city and through my collection, I bring a slice of the ancestral tribal charm. The launch of the store will furthermore bring more significance to the barely known designs and motifs of the ancestral tribal charm," Gadi said in a statement.

The store houses young and peppy ensembles in vibrant hues, intricate hand woven designs and beads with impeccable cuts and silhouettes.

Apart from his creations, the store will also offer accessories by jewellery designer Zames Mangte.
