Israel: NFC organizes Monti Fest Trophy

Israel, Sep 20: New Friends Israel (NFC Israel) recently organized Monti Fest Trophy 2013 Sport Meet at Luna Park Ground, Tel Aviv, here.

The one-day Monti Fest Trophy 2013 consisted of cricket for men and women, volley ball and tug of war for men and throw ball for women. The event brought all the Indian youth in Israel together in a spirit of sports and bonded them together in love for our dear Mother Mary.

The chief guest at sports meet was Fr Tojy Jose. He lighted the divine lamp and conducted the prayer ceremony. The Indian ambassador for Israel, Jaydeep Sarkar inaugurated the event. Wilson Fernandes, managing director of Fernandes Group, Benny Naidu of Om Indian Store were present as guest of honors.

NFC Trophy organizer, Godwin D’Souza from Moodbidri warmly welcomed the chief guest, guest of honors and various team members. On behalf of the event organizers, honorable guests, the ambassador Jaydeep Sarkar praised the youths for their talent, team spirit, determination and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants. NFC organized this event for charity motive.

The main event planner of Monti Fest, Sunil Nazareth of Moodbidri felicitated Indian ambassador Jaydeep Sarkar with shawl of respect.

The sports organizers served free breakfast and meals to all nominated teams and free lunch was also served to all invitees and guests. On the sports day evening, prize distribution ceremony was held at Luna Park Ground.

The guest of honours, Wilson Fernandes of Fernandes Group and Arnav of Om Indian Stores distributed prizes for the winning team. The overall sport meet program was compered by Godwin Pinto, Moodbidri and Roshan D’Souza, Thokottu.

More than 500 youth actively participated in this sport event making it a very grand success.
