M'lore: Applications invited for Pingara Rajyotsava Award

Mangalore, Sep 22: Applications are invited for 'Pingara Rajyotsava Award 2013' from local, state, national, international-level achievers from any field, who hail from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi or Kasargod districts, living anywhere in the world.

The award will be presented at a ceremony to be held on November 26 at Town Hall this year. The award will be conferred by Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore diocese.

The last date to submit the application is October 10.

This is the ninth Rajyotsava Award conferred by Pingara. Earlier the honour was bestowed on Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Jaya C Suvarna, Harikrishna Punaroor, Alva's Education Trust chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, Grace Pinto of Ryan International School, Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld, Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore, and journalist Kuntady Dayanand Pai, Karkala.

A selection committee has been constituted comprising Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangalore.
