Mumbai, Feb 28: Maharashtra governor S M Krishna in his capacity as Chancellor of the universities in the State, appointed Dr Prof Chandra Krishnamurthy, currently rincipal, Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, Vile Parle, as the new vice-chancellor of the SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. The appointment is for a term of 5 years and will come into effect from the date she assumes charge of the office of vice-chancellor.
Dr Krishnamurthy has done her B.Sc. and LLM from the University of Mumbai and has further obtained her Ph.D. in Constitutional Law from University of Mumbai. She has 23 years of experience in teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels and in administration. A winner of the Kinlock Forbes Gold Medal and Best Teacher Award from Mumbai University, she has guided many students for Ph.D and LLM during their research wor.
