Islamabad, Sep 23 (IANS): The death toll in the twin suicide bombings near a church in Peshawar rose to 81 Monday, officials said.

The dead include 34 women and seven children, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported. Those injured in Sunday's twin explosions numbered 150.

Meanwhile, at least 67 victims were discharged Monday from the Lady Reading Hospital after their condition was declared stable by doctors.

Two suicide bombers Sunday blew themselves up near a church where worshippers had gathered for Sunday mass.

Eye witnesses said the bombers were wearing police uniforms.

The provincial government, Bishop Churches of Pakistan and several political parties have announced three days of mourning to condemn the blasts.

The provincial government announced Rs.500,000 for the next of kin of each of those killed in the blast and Rs.200,000 for each of the injured.
